really? I have always loved bezels (way before I found PS). Of course I prefer square stones in channel settings so that also affected my vote.

just by the way - i think it was honey for got a WF channel set YG ring the other day that absolutely converted me! worth pulling that baby out and having a look, even if you dont have a YG set; the proportions are so elegant!
I do recall Honey''s rings and they are lovely! And I agree that distance is the key with channel set, and like someone else here said, don''t judge them by photos they look so much less impressive that way!

Another bezel lover. For some reason I just don''t love the look of channel set bands relative to bezel, shared prong, or pave.

Mela, I''m sorry, your post is a little hard to follow... can you clarify your position?

Oops!! Please change my vote! I voted for channel, because I LOVE channel set bands, but when I saw the pictures you posted, I changed my mind. I really love the look of the bezel with the sleek line solitaire!!
dd, I voted channel too because I just love that style and it''s so easy to wear with practically any type e-ring, but I do think the new bezel bands are very sweet and fresh and different. I''m always looking for options and possibilities ......... but can''t you have both at some point? I mean, after all, you did push a little human being out of your body recently.

Have you considered one in diamonds and one in say..... sapphires.? Tacori absolutely sold me with her Tessa ring. I LOVE that band! I think it''s beautiful. Stack-a-licious!
I could... and it certainly passes through my mind. I tried on the jaz with the 2mm channel at Tiffs and loved it a lot! But sometimes I think that for the same $$ I could get a larger 7 stone ring or something. Sigh...

In the words of "Queen", I want it all, yes I want it, I want it all, and I want it now!

I think a reason why people are generally 'down' on channel-set bands is because a lot of the ones we see are poorly done. For a great example of a beautifully executed channel, just look at Honey22's. I don't see any glaring spaces even in the macro shots, and most of what you'd see every day is just a row of bling.

Honey22's 2mm Channel

(I hope you don't mind my linking this, Honey!)

I voted bezel, because no matter how i try, i just don''t love the channel set bands. I love the idea of them for comfort, but i guess for me what it boils down to is that i never think the bling factor is so great (even if the ct weight was bigger) on a channel set because the metal takes away from the bling for me. Even though you pay the same $ for the diamonds, parts of them are covered up, and you can''t see them as well...this just annoys me. But i may be completely nuts in my reasoning here

I do agree that honey''s set is GORGEOUS though and a well constructed channel set band will be lovely. Either way you really can''t lose, but i love the bezel band because each stone is highlighted individually. It''s so pretty with the solitaire - i love the pic of shimmer''s ring, and i love gecko''s set too!

Thanks Dani! Those are really cool but I think that I would run into the height issue with those... my solitaire is very low and so I need a band that is only 1.5mm thick. Those are probably more...

I love me a bezel

Lovely I found your earlier thread where you were looking for a ring like the bezel being talked about here... did you ever find one? Are you still looking?

Another vote for bezel!

Another one!!!

Dreamer,

My wedding band is channel and I''d have to say my preference is bezel. If only I knew when we picked it out, though!!

I''m hoping for a bezel for the celebration of our baby some day! (Mixed with the birthstone....)

I had been wondering if you were working on a "project" in honor of the day Hunter entered the world!! Glad you are!!

How out of it am I, linking Honey''s ring when it''s already been linked one page over? Guess it made that much of an impression!

Have you seen my wedding ring? It is PR in a channel set band. I just hate the little spaces between RBs in channel set.

I KNOW I am not the only one! Come on! Bezel set pendents have been popular for at least the past 20 years.
