I am waiting for an Idealscope for one of these two RB diamonds from James Allen. But, while waiting, I thought I would check to see which diamond other PS''ers would prefer and why. Even if it is personal preference, please share your opinions and thoughts.

According to James Allen, both diamonds are eye clean.

(I''m personally leaning a little towards the 2nd diamond, but that''s solely based on the fact that it''s a little bigger. And I haven''t seen the I/scope, yet, so of course I won''t base it just on that.. Maybe I''m just getting a little greedy

I predict the second IS will look just fine. Assuming so, that would be my pick as well. It''s more than just a "little" bigger.

(look at the diameters, not the ct. weight)

I would pick the second most likely.

I have a hard time thinking in millimeters as it is such a small measurement..lol
But, after reading your reply, I pulled out my measuring tape to really take a look at the difference.
Wow, you weren''t kidding!!

Now, I''m really hoping that the I/scope for the 2nd one will look alright.

Thanks, Ellen!

lol! Welcome.

#2!!!!!

And that will be a huge difference in person. It does sound like a tiny amount, but if you were to see those two stones in person, one would be significantly larger than the other.

Either way, both are almost sure to be beautiful stones!

Frekechild, your response made me laugh.
Exclamation points noted! haha

Okay, so it sounds like majority favors #2.

JA told me I won''t be getting I/scope until tomorrow

sooo... I''ll have to wait to make my ering purchase.

However, I''m glad I have this extra time to get everyone''s opinions.
Keep ''em coming!

Have you looked at the cutadvisor? https://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp

It rates shapes and might give you some more info. I''m curious to see how it rates compared to the idealscope images. So long as #2 is eye clean and the cuts are both good, it''s a lot bigger.

HI:

I am going to brave all diaspproval and suggest the VS1.

Cruzan- Yes, I did. Here''s how they rated: #1- 1.5, #2- 1.1

So, I think both diamonds are pretty good finds!

haha, no problem at all! i keep going back and forth between the two myself.
the vs1 is practically flawless.. and it''s a H&A.. but i think the extra bit in size with the SI2 is winning me over

I was just thinking last night.. I know the VS1 H&A is the better cut compared to the SI2, but the SI2 will still sparkle and have fire, won''t it? (although not as much as the VS1)

I think I''m just needing some last-minute reassurance, lol.

No reason to suppose the SI2 won't be as beautiful as the VS diamond providing it is eyeclean - both diamonds have excellent proportions!

I wouldn''t say that at all (they are both cut great), and clarity doesn''t have anything to do with sparkle really. (until you get WAY down there). The stone you''re considering has great specs newbie, it should seriously be gorgeous! Really.

FYI, below is the IS for #2 (1210835). I know because I almost bought it a couple months back. For the record, I prefer #2 and think it looks great.

RBsearch!!! Thank you so much!! I''ve been waiting since yesterday to get this from JA constantly checking my email to see if they sent it to me.

Oh, my goodness. You have just made my day!!!

I can''t thank you enough! It does look beautiful. I''m so relieved and happy.
I guess this means I''m off to buy my ring! Thank you so so much again!
And to everyone else as well! Thank you for your advice and input and helping me make my decision!!

I''d call JA and tell them to scratch the new IS if they haven''t done it yet. And just as I suspected, gorgeesimo! *muah!

(did we make sure it''s eyeclean?)
