best place to get decent pearls for PS type of prices

So,

Start to shop for some pearls for the wife, and I realized I needed to stop by the PS site and say HI, and see what folks here had for idea's or suggestions with regards to pearls.

I'm looking at a single strand, likely 6-7mm size and 18-24" in length. I recall there was something here on the site about pearls a long time ago but it was so far ago I cant recall who/what/where it is or was.

I would get her 8 mm pearls, unless she is younger, but that is just me. I am in my 30's. I have the Freshadama's but you should sign up for their emails; they have deals from time to time. http://www.pearlparadise.com/c-19-freshadama-pearls.aspx here are what the 8 mm look like on me.

Freshwater pearls are harvested by the millions of strands (literally) per year in China, so I don't like to pay much for them, myself. It's not a rare product . . .
