I know this has been asked many times before, but here goes anyway. I would like some reputable online jewelers that have products I can trust. I understand that many people buy diamonds online now. I have a budget of about $3300 for a loose princess cut diamond. Any info. on some reputable jewelers would be appreciated and valued greatly.

My fiance bought my radiant cut diamond from them and it *was* a gorgeous stone (see my story below if you're interested). We were very happy with them and I've heard of others being quite pleased.

I recently bought a new center stone from Mark at Enagagement Rings Direct. The man was a pleasure with whom to work. He picked out a great stone for me, and was very attentive throughout the process. His site may not have the glitz, glamour and tools of some of the others, but he really knows his stuff.

Two others to mention are Superbcert (www.superbcert.com) and Winfield's (www.winkjones.com). Superbcert has a nice selection of princess cuts, and while I was only able to find round stones listed on his site, I'd be surprised if Winfield's (Wink) didn't have acces to princess cut stones, as well.
 
goodoldgold.com, they are way more than an faceless online store, Jonathan is so helpful and knowledgable. Whoever you use make sure they have the diamonds in front of them, and not just a piece of paper. People like Jonathan can work with you over the phone (or email) narrowing down your likes/dislikes and find the ideal stone.
 
I have been looking at union diamond. Does anyone have any experiences with them, pos. or neg.? They seem to be priced well and offer decent service.

Thank you for the kind words Magnum. I rarely stock princess cuts since so few of them are well cut, although I have some great sources for them. It has been announced that AGS is working on a performance based cut grade for princess as well as for round stones and then I will be able to buy stones that are made for beauty instead of having to sift through dozens of stones to find one I would be proud to sell. As it is now I prefer to stock ideal to super ideal cuts with the occassional off cut, usually stones I have taken in trade.

As a new poster to Pricescope, I appreciate your including me in the list of "good guys".

After taking the opportunity to check out your site, it looks like you've got some nice stones listed. I look forward to hearing some good reviews from some of your new PS customers. It looks like you've actually been a member much longer than I, so instead of saying welcome, let me say welcome back.
 
Well, welcome back is sort of nice, but my membership shows me (evidently) to have been here for much longer than I have truly been here. I will have to go look it up to see how long I have been a member, but to be VERY truthful, I have been an active member for only a few weeks now.

Some time ago I was asked by LawMax to write an article for Leonid about buying colored stones and I did, but I was extrememly busy and there was not so much traffic here at that time and I fell out of the habit of visiting. It is that darn twenty-four hours per day time limit that I keep bumping into. Leonid was kind enough to post the article prominently on this site and I have heard from many people that it was helpful to them, which is very rewarding. I probably need to do an edit and upgrade it further BUMP Ouch, darn time limit is getting lowered again.

I had the occassion to correspond with Leonid about something a few weeks ago and he invited me to visit and become active and not wanting to be rude I did come by for a visit. I was so pleasantly surprized by the vitality of PS and now am quite happy that I came over when I did.
