I dont' know what the HCA scores are on all of these, but given their ideal cuts, I'm guessing they'd be <2.




Also, would you guys buy a stone that looks great in person, with good GIA cert and nice HCA score even if there weren't additionally imaging to go along with it?

Regarding your question about buying in person if the numbers look good and the stone looks great, absolutely. The tools are helpful in making internet purchases more informed, but if a stone looks fantastic to your eyes in person and the numbers are good, there is no reason not to move forward with a purchase.

Are you limiting your search to only superideal cut diamonds? I see these are all branded stones and am curious if you have looked at nonbranded stones to see where you can get the same $$$ to go?

It depends. You're looking at 2ct stones and $30k. Spending that type of money I would want to make sure the stone is a top performer and you'er getting what you pay for. ASET or idealscope would be nice.

I would never consider spending $30k on a diamond without imaging. It is well worth it to be to buy from the respected vendors you have listed above, because they all carry top cut quality diamonds and have great trade-in policies, etc. I would recommend Good Old Gold to be added to that category as well.

I'm not necessarily looking for super ideal cuts, ideal/excellent would be great too..cut is the area I did not want to budge on.. I guess I'm just having a hard time finding a great stone otherwise. I'm certainly open to nonbranded diamonds as well but am not quite sure where to look.
