Before Settling Down... What do you wish you could have done?

I married at 30, so I had all of the travel, house buying, and living abroad one single gal can handle.

My husband and I are trying to travel as much of Europe together as we can before kids, but I don''t believe there is anything else I wish I had done before getting married.

Finished my graduate degree.

I travelled a lot before getting married, moved accross the country, had previous loves, got my graduate degree etc. I wish DH and I had travelled more together before having kids, since he hasn''t really done that, but it wasn''t in the cards financially, and we will travle later either with kiddo or when kiddo is at "camp grandma and grandpa".

I do wish we owned our own home before having kids and that I had found a full time academic positon, but again, just not in the cards.
