Been so busy but back from the doldrums with a custom DK piece in the works

I’ve been in the hunt for the perfect tanzanite, I know - tanzanite *home shopping club eye roll* but I dig the freaky mix of purple and blue a great cut produces. Alex at Premiere gems cut a clip corner emerald that was perfect and matched a lab antique cut oval D/VVS that I’d bought from Alex Park a few years ago. Bingo - went my brain, a David Klass moi and toi ring. It will be a 2.5 mm tri wire in platinum. Both stones willl be in full bezels.

The whack factor is why the tanzanite is going in a bezel

I would have easily mistaken that tanzanite for a sapphire - which is my favorite type of color in tanzanite! Can't wait to see how this comes along and what the final product will be.

Stones are with David and he’s casting. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I think platinum and tanzanite just looks stunning. And I think I forgot to mention the MMD is one of Alex Parks’ old style cuts - it has a lovely Maltese cross pattern.
