BB Stones Arrived Today - Pink Tourmaline & Amethyst Pair

First, here''s Barry''s pic of the pink tourmaline. It''s a 7.7x10mm supernova oval.

Barry''s description said the color was a little richer than his photos, and that it has an orange component in incandescent light. I LOVE the orange tones!

A little farther into the room. It''s with my only other pink tourmaline that came pre-set in the ring, so I have no idea what kind it is.

Now here''s the dilemma: I want to set the tourmaline in a ring, but I''m not sure which metal. Here it is in a WG LOGR. Obviously, it''s the wrong shape, but you can get an idea.

Sometimes it has the orange tones, so I wondered if YG would look better. But it doesn't have the orange tones all the time.

What color gold do you think I should use??

I'm still undecided about the amethysts. They seem to have a very slight touch of gray, but it was really hard to capture their true color.

ETA: I guess it's obvious, but the BB amethysts are in front. In the back are some other cheap amethysts I already had.

Since I''m on the fence about the amethysts, I''d love to have your opinions on the stones.

I love them all, the tourmaline is such a great shade of pink. I think WG or pink gold would look great. It depends on what you prefer.

Thanks TL and D&T - I agree with you both that Barry''s pics are spot-on. And D&T, I was thinking about setting the amethysts in something like this, in either white or rose gold.
