I''ve always wondered this - what''s the difference between an emerald cut and baguette? I''m assuming an EC has more facets, but what else makes a big baguette different than a small EC?
Baguettes have less facets because it has pointy corners so there''s none of that extra faceting in the sides/corners (aka no windmills). Just straight lines all the way across all sides of the stone.
