I was intrigued as to who the current owners are.

It came from the Victor Mine in Ontario Canada. The mine is owned by deBeers. From the press release it was cut during 2019. Unless deBeers sold the original rough to someone, I suppose they would be the owner.

I've seen this diamond pop up on Facebook recently, one of the jewelers groups had someone post the photos his daughter sent of her with it in hand (she works for Sothebys).
