Good Afternoon. I am probably with a week of purchasing after months of shopping and have one last question; I think.
Given that most all diamonds have some sort of imperfection. Which imperfections are the worst and which ones are the best (if there is such a thing)?

I am going to the local Jeweler this evening to review 3-4 diamonds for what I think is the last time before I purchase.

I', looking at all excellent cut diamonds in the "G", "H" and "I" range.

I've replied to your other thread with the list of stones - looks like you are trading off clarity to get over the 2ct mark?

SI2 have a higher risk of inclusions affecting transparency and structural integrity - twinning wisps are 'better' inclusions but be cautious of 'grade based on clouds not shown' (or whatever the wording is).

I personally avoid cavaties, black inclusions on the table, clouds in SI2 and SI1 only with caution, and chips.

I automatically reject for cavities, chips, etch channels, knots, and laser drill holes.
