Actually, it''s not really a dilemma since I have a clear favourite in this bunch. It is a fascinating video though. Thanks to GoG for hooking this up.

Which stone catches your eye?

I love stone #1 the best. #3 is a close second. I don''t really care for the width or lack thereof on the windmills for the #2 stone. I love the way #1 reflects light. It''s beautiful.

I''d take 3, then 1, and pass on 2.

Not knowing a darned thing about asschers, I vote for 1, 3, and 2, in that order. #1 has beautiful windmills.

I had not idea that asschers could be so sparkly. Very pretty!

Thanks for watching guys.

All opinions are appreciated. I''m really pleased that GoG went to the trouble to make this.. makes a huge difference when looking at a pile of near identical stats..

Okay

Votes

#1 - 3 (including me)
#3 - 1

My vote is for #1, then 3, and then 2. I really like 3 under the special lighting conditions, but just on diffused light, the broadflash on #1 is PHENOMENAL!! LOVE it!

#3, then 2, then 1

At first #1 caught my eye ... but then I was seduced by the size and performance of #3 ... the table on #3 looked a wee bit smaller than #1 too (maybe more crown height??)

I think #1 & #3 are both gorgeous stones & I''d be happy with either really.

#2 is appealing in its own more graphic way -- for someone who loves ECs but prefers a square shape ... I think #2 has a Carre Cut look -- optical illusion, concentric squares kinda thing. Lovely but not QUITE as "asschery" as the other two.

Kudos to GOG for that cool video!!! I wish the co I queried about two OECs had the same technology!!!!

Ditto....#3 blows me away, #1 looks very good, but a definite pass on #2

3, 1, than waaaay behind, 2.

Tough one, but I guess I will pick number 1, 3 is second choice. Wouldn''t want 2.

Very cool video. #1, #3, and lastly #2.

Thanks, everyone, for taking a look and helping with this decision..

Okay, another element to this is that I''m not sure which stone is which in the video yet. BUT I do have the specs for two of the diamonds. Here they are:

-----

1.27ct F VS1 Hand Selected Asscher
Shape: Asscher
Carat Weight: 1.27ct
Color: F
Clarity: VS1
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescence: Negligible
Girdle: 2.37%
Table Percentage: 59.65%
Depth Percentage: 67.10%
Crown Depth: 17.05%
Pavilion Depth: 47.35%

-----

1.13ct E VVS2 Hand Selected Asscher
Shape: Asscher
Carat Weight: 1.13ct
Color: E
Clarity: VVS2
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Fluorescence: Negligible
Girdle: 3.15%
Table Percentage: 66.75%
Depth Percentage: 65.53%
Crown Depth: 13.22%
Pavilion Depth: 48.58%

Any guesses on which of these corresponds to the ones in the video?

Shoot!! Without the length/width ratio & physical dimensions of the stones it''s much tougher to guess!!!

I think the one with the small table is #3.

The other specs could be #1 or #2 ... *shrug*

1 and 3 look good, but Id like too see an ASET image of 1, and more info.
There is something that bugs me about it that may or may not be an issue.
2 is by far the worse looking of the 3.

I'm gonna guess that the F VS1 is the one is number three. Hard to tell without the rest of the stats, and the other diamonds information. But the crown height, table size and girdle lead me to believe it's number 3.

waiting for more data on the first one but will say that I''m not liking the ags asscher grading system from what I have seen so far.

I''ve watched it a couple more times, and I''m guessing #1 is the 1.25, #2 is the 1.13, and #3 is the 1.27.

Also, he said to pay most attention to what they looked like in diffused lighting, and I think #3 is clearly the brightest/winner. However, #1 seemed to have a tad more broadflash under spot lighting imo. But I''d still pick #3 overall.

Dear GOG~It would be helpful if you provided your estimated light performance on the three stones. Good video with a cliffhanger ending, KWIM

Just caught this here. The stats for the other stone will be going up shortly. I appreciate the commentary too. For the most part matches what we''re seeing here. Interestingly we are able to run the models of these guys through the AGS PGS software and one of these diamonds grades as an AGS 0 in light performance, one as a 1 and another as a 2. I was waiting to hear back from Blinghunter on what is catching his eye most before offering my personal commentary but my assessment agrees with many here.

I have a personal favorite of them in the diffuse lighting and another one in the spot lighting. Since it appears that most have narrowed between 1 & 3 and I didn''t have them side by side I''ll shoot another shortie of just those 2. Note: I place a heavier emphasis on the diffuse lighting view as it is a more common view that folks view diamonds in on a daily basis. Once Blinghunter makes his choice and if he doesn''t mind I''ll post the PGS results of the 3 for your learning.

Peace,

1 and three are very close but the fire of 1 is amazing. I would go for #!.
Good luck!
Regards,
Mario

So BlingHunter, have you made a final decision? Care to share??

My choice is 1, 3 then 2 even though 3 has the smaller table. Hoo boy, I can''t wait to find out which is which, and which one Bling Hunter decides on.

Thanks everyone for your interest and help so far...

Still making the final selection, but I''ll be sure to post an update soon (I''m sure Rhino will as well).

\V/ and <3 till then.

I may be too late to chime in, but I L

1.27ct F VS1

Hi folks... the final decision ended up being the stone with the ''0'' AGS rating (not even on purpose)...

Thanks again to Mr. Rhino. Above and beyond.

I can guarantee my lady will post pics on here once she''s got it lol
