After a bit of research, I see how valuable a helium report can be!

Sorry to get off topic, since I noticed Jon from GOG posted, I recently inquired about purchasing an asscher (not a specific one, but to start the initial search) with Tim, and have not heard from him yet. I know your company and Tim must be busy, but what is the average response time to a potential client through email, during the first step?

I have called in an asscher with another company, but am still highly interested to work with GOG since I have seen so many great rave reviews and the quality asschers your company chooses for your clients.

I''m sure you know this, but you are doing a fantastic job!

Thanks for your time.

in search,
I fired Jon off an email for you to have him check back here.
They will be open again on Tue.
Id recomend resending the email in case it didnt get thru.
Reference your PS user name in the email so Jon can check with Tim on it on tue to make sure it got there and it gets fast attention.

Hi in search,

Just checked in ... we usually have all emails answered within 24 hours with the exception of Saturday's - Sunday's as our store is closed on Sunday's and Monday's so all the mail that comes in Saturday evenings, Sunday's and Monday's are usually all answered on Tuesday. If Tim gets swamped I'll take some of the load off of him. I'll also check with Tim when we get back on Tuesday to see if your mail came through ok or not. We'll do what we can to help.

Kind regards,

Thanks Jon and Storm!

I was out for a couple of hours and just got back.

I sent the email out early Friday morning (3 am I believe CA. time), so maybe I was being a bit antsy.

I''ll send the email again to both of you.

I just checked my email and Tim responded to me! I guess I need to check my email more often!

I''ll go back and check the list he sent me and see what I find!

I checked the list that was sent to me of GOG''s asschers in my range.

Overall, some nice looking asschers with great specs, but I noticed several had very thick girdles.

What is the general concensus of very thick girdles on asschers?

Okay or pass?

I tend to avoid them but if the total depth is in the 60s its not that big an issue.
But one with a 70%+ depth and a v-thick girdle id pass on.

Thanks everyone for your help. I ended up going with the 1.25 from GOG (see previous post in this thread). Tim was a tremendous help (as I am sure it is no surprise to anyone) as was strmrdr. I am very pleased with the way the process went from start to finish.
