Hi Miss Fortune, would you mind to give some idea of your likes/dislikes? such as modern v vintage, type of metal, pave or side diamonds v solitaire, etc. and budget parameters?
Than I will be more than happy to have a scout for you!
or if you would just like posts of what we "could do" no matter what, can do that too!

Swin--that is beautiful!! I must''ve missed the thread!!!

That halo Leon is gorgeous. The halo sure done plump up the size of a 1.3 asscher!!

i''m getting an asscher stone myself. i''m torn between a solitaire or a 3 stone setting. but i think halo asschers are gorgeous.

they just don''t look good on me.

swingirl, I apologize. While I did pick lovey''s because of the bonus in size, I failed to mention just how stunning your ring is. And it really is. I have just been terribly preoccupied lately and failed to say this, so please don''t think your ring is a slouch, far from it.

I didn''t click on Ellen''s link to see she already mentioned lovey''s... it''s just when I read the thread I was thinking, "OH! Lovey''s ring!" because it was one of the first settings I fell in love with. (note to self: click before you post

).

swingirl''s is another gorgeous one! The pave work of Leon is just amazing and it perfectly suits the Asscher cut. I would love to see that ring in person... I''ll bet it''s even more stunning than it appears in the pics!

H Arjunajane - I was going to post some of my likes and dislikes at first but wanted to see what people would post with no parameters. But since you asked and volunteered to do some scouting... I like more of a vintage feel. I''ll probably use trapazoids on the sides - not sure about bezel set for all stones or just the side stones and not sure about milgraining alothough my wedding band has little french cut and round diamonds with milgrain.

My biggest issue right now is whether to bezel the center stone along with the sides or do I put the middle stone in prongs and just bezel the two sides like in the picture I have attached.

I have a jeweler already and he is strongly suggesting bezeling all the stones but I''m a little hesitant. I really wish I could find a picture of a ring with side traps and an asscher so I could see what it would look like.

I love halo''s but don''t think I''d want to do it on this ring.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it!

oh yeah, budget is 3K for the new setting.

oops! forgot to attach file. here you go!

I would throw a gorgeous asshcher in a legato setting and wear the heck out of it until I figured out what to ''really'' do with it.

Or...

Well, I guess I just did unintentionally what I would have done intentionally had I known!

This is what my ring looks like now. Any thoughts? Stone is 1.20 GIA D/SI1. (I have a different wedding band now).

Ellen - I've been looking - so much to choose from! Alot of the asschers on PS seem on the big side to me. Although I like my stone, it is on the smaller side so it's a little harder to find the right setting. At least for me.

I want to get it right this time!

Here is my 5-stone from S Stone....focus was on the sides in this pic...

Kelly that is gorgeous! My ring is at single stone too waiting for me to decide. Like I said before, Ari really thinks all the stones should be bezel set and I just can''t picture it finished in my head. He sketched a picture and he''s the expert so... ugh, so confusing ya know?

Yours turned out great! what''s your center stone size? I feel like mine being on the smaller size is limiting.

Hey Ellen, do you like traps better or the tapered baguettes??

Hest had a stone about your size made into a bezel at S. Stone--I''ll find the thread as it was one of my inspirations...I almost went with a full bezel. My center is 7.3 x 7.3. The side baguettes make it look much lar*er without a halo--kwim? They were wonderful to work with...
