I am working with GOG to find a 2.5 - 3.5 ct asscher and have a few candidates - looking for input regarding the specs for these 4 stones.

First one of four is 2.7 ct F VS1 and is GIA Ex/Ex

Of the 4 you posted, what number are they in the video (1-6). I believe it is 2, 4, 5 and 6? I am certainly not an asscher expert, but I did watch the video and personally liked 4 and 6 in the video best.

By the way, it looks like you duplicated the sarin report on the 2.7 vs. the 2.89. I was checking them out for dimensions to see how different they were in size. Diamond #2 in the video definitely looked the smallest to my eye if that matters, so I kind of ruled it out just because of that. Not sure how much of a price difference there is between them all and if that plays into your decision? Also, does the trade-in/buy back policy play into it? Not sure if some of those are in-house diamonds? I still like #4 and #6 in the video.

Not sure what to think about the asets though, because of the black in the first 2 you posted. But, again, I am NOT an expert! I am sure some of the experts will be around later in the day!

I liked the GVVS that was #4 on the GOG video. Is that the second one here?

If it is the same stone, it looked bigger face up -- closer to #6 -- on the video. The dimensions on the chart in your post are 7.83 x 7.69. Both the 2nd and 3rd on your post are GVVS but whichever was #4 in the video is my first pick. I liked #6 on the video (3.3) second best.

Hi ringo - the second set of images is stone 4 in the video. I'm leaning that way, too.

Third of four is 3.0 ct G VVS2 GIA Ex/Ex
I personally like this one best. But does have a small P3 issue. Not a bad one though. The 2.7 F Vs in the video was nice but the ASET is scary. I didn't care for the shape of this favorite one in the video.

Thank you for your response, Gypsy! Not a ton of options out there which fit my specs.
I think its worth it to see the 3.0 in person. Asschers really need to be seen in person. GOG will return it if you don't love it.

Is this for you or for someone else?

It's for me - upgrade from my original ER to celebrate a big anniversary. The jewelers in my area provide a GIA report - they don't provide ASET, Firescope or anything else really. I saw one locally that seemed like a maybe but without the backup data I'm nervous to commit. Specs are 2.3 VVS1 E GIA Ex/Ex - don't have exact dimensions but it's almost a perfect square. I'll try to post a pic - it's just resting in a mount.

Take the 3.0 to see that one. See the, side by side and decide what you think.
