I am considering these choices for an Asscher cut stone and would love an expert opinion on them. I would also love to see the DiamCalc results on the stones.

If someone can do one of those scans that would be cool.

Thanks for the advice.

Hello MooseJaw,

You will need to request the Sarin info from the seller the stone must be checked in the "sarin machine"

Here is an example of the data you will get...This is from and EM cut I am considering...

Here is the info

GIA

7.23x5.02x3.31
Depth 65.9%
Table 62%

Here is the Sarin Data:
Weight 1.120
width/length 5.05x7.26 (1.44 L/W)
Total depth 65.6 3.31mm
Crown Angle 38.5 (38.6-38.4)
Crown Height 11.8 (11.8-11.
Pavil Angle 57.5 (58.4-56.7)
Pavil Depth 52.3 (52.3-52.3)
Table Size 64.5 (3.26mm)
Girdle 1.5% (1.5-1.5)

Topdown Graph
Table 0.4%
Culet 0.6%

CutNut (Garry), does this give you the info needed for a DiamCalc?? If so I would love it if you could run one and post the results. I have an Idealscope but for the life of me I cannot make a choice on this stone!!

Thanks

Wrong.

You need a full 3D scan for a stone like this - there are too many step facets - each with different angles for a regular Sarin report to be of any use.

A 3D scan carries with it the angle and azimuth of every facet and then DiamCalc builds that actual stone into a realistic and exact representation that we can check with the virtual ideal-scope etc
