It'd be most accurate on a loose stone, without metal reflecting and interfering with lighting, but depending on stone size and settings you may be able to get a useful representation

That said, it's really only good for stones that aren't round brilliants. If you have a round brilliant, I wouldn't do it.

THanx for the link. I have 0.5 ct and 0.52ct princess for diamond studs...are they too small to bother?
