I love my engagement ring, don't get me wrong. It's a 2.55ct E VS1 EC with EC side stones. But I've been looking for an upgrade for some time, a larger center stone. We've been married for 13 years now. I have a folder full of pictures of rings that I adore. But I thought, I want something different, not just another bigger diamond and a copy of someone else's ring. I do love the old cuts, but it seems that everyone has a gorgeous OEC already. So I started to focus on other antique cuts. They are unique and have such character! But I waffled between a pear, an OEC, an asscher, a cushion . . . I just couldn't decide.
