Are these baguettes a good size for this stone?

This is the stone (Peter Torraca), which is 5.9 mms and a delicate look:

Side baguettes (you know, the setting with the center stone then the two baguettes - one on each side)
are 1.7 mm wide X 3.6 mm long

I don't want to overwhelm this delicate looking stone.

Any other setting ideas are welcome.

Setting would be white gold, but should I do a yellow head to enhance the yellow in the yellow stone.

Thanks so very, very much.

Someone? Please.

Thanks.

We can't see the baguettes.

Did you want to keep the whole ring dainty and delicate?
then I think the size of baguettes sounds ok? It would be nice to see them next to the stone, do you have them?
And yes, I think yellow gold
But there seem to be lots of fans here of the rose and the green.....

Thanks OOOooo and Pink.

No, I don't have the baguettes yet. They are just prospective ones, that is why I'm asking.

I appreciate it.

Just wanted to say, that's a beautiful little stone, I would love to have one just like it!
I love the sunflower design!!!!

Thanks OOO.

It's even better in person. And it does dispersion colors along the edges, too. I love this sunflower cut. I'm sure he'd make you one if you asked (eeek, enabler !).

Definitely yellow gold for the portion that the garnet will be set in.

Thanks Chrono !

I think the baguettes are probably a good size for this. At first I was a bit of a dingbat though wondering why you would put these next to a round stone, thinking that you'd align the baguettes vertically. Then I got over my brain fart and realized that these would be horizontal along the shank. Regardless of my stupidity, I think these will work.
