I have a necklace that is semi-DBTY, and it flips all the time.

Arghhh... that''s a drag. I''m a bit weirdly phobic about flipping stones!!!

Mine''s not from Tiffany or WF, but I do have a heavier centre stone which you''d think would discourage flipping.
 
If Rose gold looks good on you- i think you should go for rose gold! very different and it will not go out of style if it is a color that compliments your skin tone. I tried on some cartier rose gold watches and they were so different, yet classic.... like the WF necklace.

but it sounds like you have ruled out dbty due to turning
