Appreciate input on engagement rings - v2

Hello everyone,

I posted back in July regarding some rings from a big box jeweler. As I got some great advice from the members here, look around online. During this time, the scope of what I'm looking for has changed a little bit. It has shifted towards Rose Gold and an oval diamond, MAYBE with a halo. I prefer to buy a diamond from someone like WF, JA, GoG or somewhere similar. I can see it all being bought within the next 2 months, ready for the new year.

Price range: 5-6.5K total for band + diamond
Diamond size: 1-1.2 carat?

The etsy one is really a good representation of what I am looking for, I am worried about longevity of a small band like that. It is really difficult to find a setting similar for an oval.

My apologies for the long post, I look forward to seeing the responses from everyone. If anyone has any recommendations on other sites - post away!!! I will post more ideas as I see them.

A 1.65mm with pave is going to be somewhat fragile.

Those last 2 bands you posted are really thin. I would worry about them too. I think you need to go with 1.8mm or closer to 2mm.

Thank you for your replies! I'd agree on the small band and it being fragile.

I am going to continue looking for bands/settings out there. To me, they are hard to come by with RG and side diamonds - the simple look. I may have to reach out to get it custom made possibly. The band is the hardest part, diamond won't be bad

Might be taking offers, or you could buy the stone and set it in rose gold
