I’m bad at picturing things and custom work scares me. Anyone got some spare time and some skills? I have some pics you could play around with
And I’d send some major gratitude and good karma your way!!
Photoshop won’t help. The metal will effect the stone, photoshopping yellow next to it will not.
Still I support you.
Maybe put it in a cheap stuller soli for a while until you can afford a reset? Keep the mount for the stones later? Might be cheaper than replacing the head
I seriously think that if you put it in gold the color will be affected very similar to how mine was, the color is very rich right now. I also like the idea of a gold solitaire
I actually like it the way it is - such a soft yellow.
Do you want to highlight the yellow, diminish it, or attempt to match it?
All three are possible, using different alloys and different karats of YG and WG.
I actually love the ring as it is! The light, lemony color is just perfect.
Anything specific you want to see or just everything?
Is your diamond yellow with a brown secondary color? I am looking at one of this color and wonder what to expect in various lighting? TIA
Omg I love it ahhhh!!!!
Nice basket.
If I was being demanding-
Pics of your ring in different lighting, pics that show the cup (with the two holes), and any other glamour shots you’d like to include!
And if I were just to be grateful instead of bossy, I’ll take ANYTHING![]()
Np! Just wanted to know so I can help ya out! Once baby is down in the day I will take some more photos.
This is really just a clever ruse to get you to post more pics of your ring
Haha jk but seriously - I do love it so much and can’t wait to see more pics!!! If you could do it again, is there anything you would’ve changed about the setting? I think it’s perfection but I thought I’d ask anyways![]()
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I am completely undecided, lol. Which brings me back to wanting the gold plating as a temporary and exploratory measure! Oh well.
I think the problem is (which I found) no jeweler will gold plate that ring!I am going to disagree with your jeweler. It is not that expensive to gold plate the head. Yes, it will start coming off soon, but it will tell you whether or not you like the diamond better with the yellow gold than the white gold. It will be a few hundred dollars cheaper than a "cheap" Stuller ring for sure.
If you decide you do not like it, it is a simple thing for the jeweler to reverse the charge and float the plating right back off of the ring.
Wink
Yes! I would go ahead and make it a 5 stone ring, have it set a little higher because my eternity band is eating the gold a bit, I would leave the cup a high polish (I wanted a satin finish) because the bench didn’t do a very good job with this and have the band thinner (it is very thick which also makes it heavy and I also have short fingers so I want more space).
I’m slightly upset about the eternity band because he made both rings at the same time and didn’t make sure they sit properly together. It just seems like an oversight that should have been avoided by a professional designer, with this being my first custom ring that part should have been pointed out. But in a few years I will have all this corrected.
You have such nice hands to showcase that lovely marquise!

I am also curious, do you want to play up the yellow or the brown element? Rose gold could be a nice option as well
It is getting plated!? Thank god cant wait to see
Oh you are so nice
I’ll take a compliment any time I can! As a new mom, I feel so disheveled most of the time...
(My baby is 14 months old and I’m still calling myself a new mom, haha. How old is your baby, KK?)
