But ladies Victor doesn't use stones outside of what he has I thought?
And I'm in Australia- no insurance on a stone in transit to VC.
See my post directly above, @Paris1Day

Hey @msop04
As far as I know, VC *does* still set outside center stones - though for all I know he may be phasing that out. What he doesn't set is outside *side* stones. OP should still be ok using an outside center stone if she wants to. I can't quite get a handle, tho, on how committed she is with VC - whether she's open to switching paths at this point, or if she's open to doing just an outside center stone, or if she'd prefer to keep the whole thing in house and get the 10% discount.

I guess I was going with VC because of the attention to detail it really it wonderful but yes I feel like I am getting further away from that because of the designer prices of stones![]()
I'm also looking for a wedding band which will have stones on it and it HAS to sit flush with my e-ring. So I checked out Whiteflash and found a Simon G setting however I asked if there is a matching band and there is not one to sit flush against it.
I do not know of other places to look at really only whiteflash.
My finger is a small 4.5I am going to make a terrible suggestion - does it have to be VC Emilya halo? I do love VCs work and that particular setting is very popular, but with your budget (which is a great one! but not huge) you might be able to get a similarly looking ring with a much larger diamond elsewhere...
What ring size are you?
Oh yes I do already know that VC has a donut on that settingA band won't sit flush with the Emilya setting because there is a donut. You could have VC shave it down a bit, but it still won't allow a completely flush fit. One thing you could do, however, is have him do the Emilya in a cathedral. I can't remember which PS member has that version... Let me see if I can find it.
Oh yes I do already know that VC has a donut on that setting. I have asked that there are no melee on the donut or stems (personal pref) it is this one https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/bands/flush-fitting-pave-eternity-band

Thankyou. I did see that it is my size! Hmm I don't like the look of it underneath though looks like one knock and that whole bit would snap off.Or like this one: https://loupetroop.com/listings/rings/ags-ideal-1-dot-10ct-j-slash-si1-round-in-sk-halo-setting
They are accepting offers and it has been listed for a year.

Yes, sorry. I would have specified if I'd realized you were willing to go outside of Victor!IDJ- I just googled it and is that I.D Jewelry??
Ooooh, I love those chubby arrows! Great find!Something like this from JA...still looking for more...has great angles. Need an IS, but I like the chubby arrows.

I would put this on hold while we find others as it is a H VS1 at a very popular size -- it this appeals. Costs you nothing to do and will keep the stone for 24 hours.
Last time I talked to VC, he was still taking outside stones for any of his settings, just not side stones. That was several months ago. @carbonfan and I both had outside center stones with custom settings that he used no problem. OP, if you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to ask him directly. Speak only to him. I would bet money thatnit is fine for you to purchase from one vendor, ship to VC and he would set it. The whole insurance thing while in transit and setting is a whole other story. I just crossed my fingers. If you are concerned about insurance that would be a good reason to get he stone and setting from him. The extra cost of he stone would be worth the no-headache about insurance and shipping tradeoff. For me anyway.I think VC only allows outside center stones if you're not having a custom ring made (ie: they already have the mount done and will just plop your stone in to it). I think they called it a "pre-mount", or something like that? I only know this because I reached out about resetting my diamond pendant and was directed to their FAQ section about their policies. So, I went with IDJ instead since I had in mind exactly what I wanted.
That could be it. The person who gave me the information was one of their chat representatives. I didn't push it because it was just a pendant, but if I had my heart set on a VC ring it certainly would be worth seeing if he'd make an exception!
