I am trying to decide on a new halo setting for an emerald cut ceter stone and have found these 2 online jewelers but I know their pictures are stock and that they make them from blank castings so iIwas just wondering if anyone had experience with them.
The first is from McGivern (overnightdiamonds.com), and the second from B2C jewels.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

I''m resetting the center stone from a ring I already have due to a nickel allergy. Its a 1.02ct emerald cut.
PLEASE please please post pictures and your assesment of the quality when it comes in. Are you planning on getting it appraised somewhere else within the 30 days? Did you do the try it for free option with the silver version? Just wondering if it was worth it.

I did not try the free silver/tester style option due to my time crunch and not wanting to show her the ring yet (it is a surprise). I do think the free trial is a great idea though. I''ll have a local jeweler I work with take a look at it but am not sure I will get a full appraisal (depending on cost). I''m sure he will be asking me where I got it and how much I paid so I''ll play the old "tell me what you think it grades/costs and I''ll tell you what I know" deal.
Wish me luck :

I found my diamond and setting at McGivern and they are fantastic to work with. I just received it Friday afternoon, so I still need to have a local jeweler and appraiser look everything over just for my piece of mind, but as far as service, they are wonderful. I spoke to Michael McGivern countless times on the phone and via email and he was incredibly patient, even after I changed my mind 3 times on the center stone before shipping it to me, and he even talked me OUT of a more expensive stone because the visual differences were nonexistent. So far I can vouch for service and quality, and hopefully everything will check out with my local jeweler. Good luck, highly recommend!

I recently had a great experience working with Mike McGivern (overnightdiamonds.com). He helped me shop for the stone and gave me great advice on what to buy based on my specifications. I actually had a stone shipped and returned it - because it was not exactly what I wanted. He was very honest, and patient with me.... I would recommend working with him. Like another post said... he actually recommend against a higher price diamond because he thought I would not be happy with it. It can be a bit unnerving when you are dealing with so much money and working with a ''stranger'' in another state. You can''t go wrong working with McGivern. good luck

I just posted photo's of my B2CJewels ring here:
