Has anyone bought from Absolute Titanium recently?

http://www.absolutetitanium.com/indexns.html

I''ve read some good reviews here, but they were dated ~2 years back. The company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB (hasn''t responded to a complaint and returns all BBB mail to sender), and I''ve seen another nasty complaint about delivery time. Just wondering if it''s "safe" to buy from them now.

I guess to be safe I should really look elsewhere, but FI wants a copper-colored ring and they have a titanium ring that''s got a nice coppery color. (Any other suggestions? He wouldn''t mind rose gold, but doesn''t want the pinky-pink color -- probably would have to be 10K maybe?)

Thanks in advance!

Titaniumrings.com is also really good. That''s where we got our wedding rings from. They were courteous and prompt, so it was a good experience.

I don''t know about Absolute Titanium, but Titanium Era.com is really good and reasonably priced. We bought my wedding band here.

Boone titanium rings is another one with a good reputation around here. I think they can do things not listed on their website, so it might be worth asking.

We used Absolute Titanium for my husband's ring....they were fine to work with and gave us exactly what we wanted, but their turnaround time was ridiculous, it was like 7 weeks to make the ring. the sizing turned out to be wrong on our end (even though we went to three stores to get the size of his finger so don't know how it was so wrong) so when it arrived it was way too big, and with 2 weeks to our wedding they were not able to assist in a time crunch to remake the ring for us. they said it would take at least 4 weeks.

So Bruce Boone from Boone Titanium helped us out and he was able to turn the ring around for us in a few days. Big difference from 7 or even 4 weeks! Excellent service and the ring that he made looked BETTER than the one from AT...he made a few tiny changes that made the ring look better. In any case, we have both rings (in case my husband gains 100 lbs or something!)...and AT was fine to work with but when it really counted they could not come through for us. I would highly recommend Bruce and his work!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Mara, I did read your story and was impressed by how quickly Bruce was able to get you the ring. I did ask Bruce whether he could make a band that was entirely copper colored (FI doesn''t want any kind of inlay) -- he was extremely prompt with his responses and helpful, but it didn''t look like he could make what FI wanted.

Looks like I may have to start looking elsewhere. Or just cut off the end of a copper pipe and sand it down!
