Antique Pear Side Stones?

Currently, my 1.92 L OEC is in a Stuller crown setting. I’m coming to realize that this will be a temporary home for my diamond. I have always loved the look of a round diamond with pear side stones. I thought I remembered someone with an OEC who did this with antique pear sides stones?

I don’t think modern pears would look good with this stone. Are a pair of small pear diamonds difficult to find? What vendor would you recommend for this project?

At one time I also considered putting antique pears with my ACC. I would recommend contacting JbyG or Adam @OWD. I can’t wait to see this combination. Good luck with your search!

Tiny antique diamond pears are very hard to find, so be prepared for a long search. IMHO...depending on their size, you really won't see a big difference between antique and not in terms of performance. Mine are .25 ish TCW, so they are tiny, and they sit right next to an .5c OEC. They don't clash.

When I was looking for tiny pears, I reached out to JewelsbyGrace, IvyRoseVintage (MyDiamondZone), OldWorldDiamonds, VictorBarbone, and some antique gem dealers that are local. I included looking for earrings during my search. If nothing else, you could get a quote from Yoram for a custom pair of pears.

Sorry for the mini threadjack @House Cat! I had a pair of antique pears from JbEG (back when there was a JbEG) for a few months - about 0.8ctw I believe? The chunky, evenly-contrasty pattern was very noticeable, even in that size, and they had hypnotic kozibe! Adorable, but I was trying and failing to scratch a rose cut itch... I regret returning them I'm adding some of Rocky's suggestions to my own list
