Antique emerald ring

I purchased this emerald ring with mine cut diamonds to use as a setting for a round, lavender sapphire that I have since I’m not really an emerald fan. The emerald actually looks pretty nice and glowy and eye clean but I don’t see myself wearing it with the emerald.

I’m curious if anyone knows how old this ring might be and what style it is?

I love the style of the ring and the old cut diamonds are really fun. So chunky and sparkly!

So you think it’s some kind of reproduction using old mine cuts? Was that common around that time? I suspected it wasn’t early 1900’s because it looks cast.

That’s funny. I know I’m weird. I’m actually trying to like the ring with the emerald in it because it does look like a nice one. It has some “jardin” that’s is not really visible with normal viewing and it’s a nice medium-dark green and it glows. But I never wear green and I know I would like the ring 1000x more with my lavender sapphire in it.

I need to figure out what to do with the emerald though. I have another one that came out of a ring that I repurposed the setting! And a 3rd one that is a nice Chatham emerald. What is it with people putting emeralds into perfectly nice settings? Lol.

It reminds me of a wrap meets halo but in one ring. It’s gorgeous with the chunky OMC. I think it’ll look great with the sapphire! What do you plan on doing with the emerald?

That’s a great description. It also has that navette shape that I find flattering.

I don’t know what to do with the emerald. I doubt I would want to use it for anything.

Thank you. The emerald is getting swapped out for a lavender sapphire soon though. I’m so excited to have found this setting so I’m hoping it looks nice with the new stone.
