Thought some of you would like to know; and since long long ago I was a GIW (gentleman in waiting) in a relationship that did not work out: After looking far and wide (really far and wide): She said yes tonight - and we expect to be married this year.

Thanks for all the comments. It may be this weekend before I have much time to post more than a line or two.

I tried to upload a picture and it did not work (invalid). I suspect it may have been too large. I will try another night. Can anyone point me to the current rules on pictures.

There are no bling pictures, yet... Princess Z is from Ukraine and did not grow up with the custom of engagement rings. I recently introduced her to the idea and showed her a few of the possible options. She will be studying the options for a while and is not in any rush.
