ooOoOO... THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I am so so so excited to get this back to me tomorrow!!! What a nice ring this has become!
Michael E IS A DELIGHT to work with. I have known him... Gosh, for over 10 years! Yikes!
I think the ring gave him a little few white hairs, he had a dickens of a time setting the stones so they
were not too close nor too far from each other. The ratio is really wonderful I think, and I am so happy I didn''t go with 1/2 moons, I looooove the look of the trillion''s straight lines combined with the curved ones of the pear.

I am so happy that this ring will come back in time for my big 4-0 (

)
It will make the steep one a little less bitter :P

I admit that when you first mentioned you''ll be resetting, i felt so sad, because i thought that Lemony looked amazing on her previous setting. But now, after seeing those pictures, OMG

i''m stunned
23.gif
(jaw dropping...). Lemony''s natural color is wonderful and i really like her so much better "au naturel"

This is my dream ring...Wear it in good health....

I'm so glad you stuck with the trillions! They were a great choice. Half-moons would have been meh in comparison. The contrast between the softness of the pear and the angularity of the trillions is wonderful!

ETA: What are you planning to wear for a wedding band?? Or are you going Euro-style and wearing Lemony on one hand and a band on the other?

Amethyste...I am sure you have posted this before, but since the search engine isn''t working can''t find it. Would you mind sharing the measurements of Lemony? As you know, I looked at that 1.58ct W-X pear, but after much consideration thought I would wait for something larger. thanks !

My dream ring, too. In the short time I''ve been here, I''ve seen so many beautiful rings and diamonds. But this is the one I will always lust after.

Ack, it''s simply gorgeous and I can''t wait to see the hand shots!!! Michael is such a wonderful man and does beautiful work and cutting.

Amethyste- I think you need a name change here: she need to go from Lemony to YUMMY!!!! It looks beautiful. Can''t wait to see the hand shots on your lovely fingers! Who exactly is ''Michael'' and where did
you find this master? You may have mentioned it before but I don''t remember. Does he have a website we can drool over more of his creations?

Amethyste, one more thing- I don''t know if you saw the other insurance/shipping thread, but I read my gemshield policy and it says in #6 under exclusions that it won''t cover transferring the property to
anyone else. Just thought I would give you a heads up for your new ring!

OOOOHHHH, luscious! You probably talked about this in another post that I missed, but why did you want to reset it? Not that I don''t LOVE the 3-stone, but the halo was cool too!

Hey there :)

I didn''t really want a cup under the pear and the setting was really high........ And I also wanted a 3 stone look as this is going to be the ''it'' setting for her and I wanted a timeless look ( even though, I have been told that Trillions are so ''passe'' - lol ) .
Well, if Trillions are passe, then I am hopelessly out of style! I have 3 rings with them and they are still my favorite look!

Congrats on your finished ring! It''s amazing how a change of setting can make a huge difference.

What do you plan to do with your old setting?

I am so sorry that I have not replied to all of you today... I have been so busy at my 2 jobs :P
But I honestly wanted to say thank you to everyone that has replied. I am going to individually respond in a few :)

Well, my old setting is still at Michael''s. He''s going to look at it and see if he can cut a stone for it...
it be a topaz or whatever. I am not going to wear it again, so I''ll have to figure something out with it. It is a nice
setting, just not the right one for me. :)

Wow! Amazing!!!

Happy early Birthday to you!

I am secretly hoping you will sell it so I can find it and snatch it up!

Jaw...

Dropped...

Simply gorgeous!!!

Hey - when you post more pics can you do similar poses and do a before and after on Lemony so we can see on the same page???

The proportions are just. so. perfect!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Sara, :) Actually it was Leon who said to me that Trillions were soooo passe, I thought it was a little odd to say that since there are still very much appreciated in the jewelry world! I will wear my band with it still, it's not a very "big" e-band but it has 18KT yellow gold with french cut diamonds from SingleStone. I think it will match the yellow basket quite well! :)

Luv - His name is Michael Edgett ( as mentionned previously in other threads ) and he's in Wenatchee WA. He does have a website, just look his name up an you'll find him :) I belonged to a now defunked jewelry board 10 years+ ago and I met him on there. :)
And for the shipping, there is no worries. I am using Michael's 3rd party insurance to cover my ring. Trust me, waiting for it through registered mailed would have left me bald and nail-less lol.

THank you!!! I'll try to reconstruct the whole thing... From the early pictures to the cads, to the setting, and to this ring. That is when I have the time to do that, I would think it will take quite some time... but I'll try ;) THank you so kindly for the sweet comments :)

I know I am forgetting the kind ladies... and Gentleman on the first page... THank you, Thank you... THANK YOU!
