Am I being too picky?

I recently received my custom ring and it really is beautiful, however there is one minor thing that is kinda bugging me and I wanted others opinions on if I am just being to picky. It seems the top pave prongs on one side are a little higher than the other side, which gives it a slight bump when I slide my fingertip over the shoulder. Here is a picture which shows the area in question. I think the picture makes it look worse than it is due to it being an extreme close up.

I don't think that you are being too picky. My first e-ring had this same problem but a bit worse. All of one side was slightly higher than the other. I didn't even want to show it to people because it bothered me so much.

My advice would be to have it fixed or replaced. If you are like me, it will always bug you. But even if it didn't, you would still always know that small flaw was there.

Love those swoopy prongs - beautiful!

I would ask that the problem area be addressed. You've noticed it and will always notice it now - better to get it fixed now.

It's a beautiful setting but if you are anything like me, I'll focus on the one small flaw and turn it into a gigantic error of epic proportions! Time and again, looking at it over and over, you'll never appreciate the beauty of 99.9% of the rest of the ring, youll only see this!! Yup - send it back to be adjusted now, then enjoy!

First I would like to say, your ring is beautiful! But I can definitely understand why that is bothering you, it would bother me too. I would send it back in to be fixed, then you can enjoy it without worrying about that one spot.

If something is bothering you now I definitely advise attempting to get it fixed now rather than later. It'll be on your mind and I'd hate anything to detract from enjoying your beautiful ring!

The ring is beautiful, I am sure the store you bought it from they will fix it for you if you speak to them, Just wondering why it was not
noticed by the QC team

I would ask them to fix it for you. Based on your second photo, the stone looks improperly set and could come out.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I got in touch with the jeweler this morning and they said it would be an easy fix.

Which stone are you referring to? I assume you mean the melee where the raised area is but I just wanted to make sure.

Your custom setting is beautiful! I am glad they are fixing the part that bugs you! What size center is in that ring?

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Yes, they were very professional about it and had it fixed within a few hours (one benefit of it being a local jeweler). The center stone is a .85. If anyone is curious, here are the CAD pictures. I will post some better pictures in the next few days.

Nope, not picky at all. It's good that the jeweller is fixing this for you. I'd be concerned that the melee might fall out some day.

Yup, all fixed and looks great. They really were great about it and apologetic that they missed it. Plus they said if anything was to happen in the future like a melee falling out or anything to bring it in and they will take care of me. They didn't say it would be free, but I got the impression it would be either zero cost or close to it. Plus the whole ring is insured through JM so I am not worried.
