Al''s leverback earrings - at last!

Most of you already know the story on this one.....I wanted leverback earrings that dangle and swing instead of stationary as most leverbacks are.

Here is the end result.....couldn''t be happier with them. As you can see, Brian''s crew did an AMAZING job at capturing the ''line'' and flow of the arch I wanted to see in the basket. I''m a yellow gal, but I bet these would be stunning in white too!

What the pictures can''t capture is how they MOVE and swing on the ear......SWOONABLE! These are .75 each, H, SI2s.

I''ll try to get some pictures on a holder or something later, but this is the best I could muster for now....couldn''t wait to share!

I was digging up old earring threads yesterday and came across a few you''d posted about the diamonds that would eventually become these leverbacks.

I LOVE THEM!!!!

Sheesh, you''ve already got me thinking this is what I want to do when *someday* I upgrade my 0.8 ctw baby bezels I just got.

Can you post more pics of the intersection between the leverback and the diamond? I''d love to see what they did to get those babies to swing, swing, swing.

OMG - those are SUPER FABULOUS Aljd and yay for yellow gold too!! Congratulations, they really turned out well!

FG - sure, would be happy to, but it''s gonna have to be later in the weekend......I did these over lunch at work (SICK, I know!) and I gotta get some work done!

I will be home all day Sunday, though, and will do.

Essentially, two things really contribute to the swing......

1. They are properly engineered for balance, so they sit correctly. They move with my head.....if I were to shake my head "no", they move swing pendulum style.

2. The jump rings were also well done. I asked to have them made small enough that it didn''t give a "snowman" appearance......I didn''t want the jump ring to be as noticeable as the stone....wanted the stone to take center stage. They graciously made this adjustment to make the jump rings smaller, and they are PERFECT now.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

FYI - Brian fell in love with these when they were finished, so you''ll be seeing these as a new offering from them soon.

He was, though, a bit dismayed that I''ve now planted a seed in Lesley''s mind.....she was telling me this gave her some very bad ideas!!!!!

I''m pretty sure they''ll do them in white, too, seeing that''s what most folks would prefer.

FG, here is some more detail on how they swing......you can see how the jump ring on the leverback piece connects to the jump ring affixed to the basket (on the prong).....

Thanks for the pics. I wondered how the basket connected to the jump ring but I see it now. It''s attached to one of the prongs with the prongs being set at 12-3-6-9 instead of the usual 11-2-5-7. Great job.
