I saw a clip of her today blasting Jared Kushner's WhatsApp communications with the Saudi Crown Prince. What's next, she asked, nuclear codes on Instagram DMs? It's an apt question. This administration has dangerously low regard for secure communication. We are lucky to have a young congresswoman who is making it her business to question it. I love her more and more every time she speaks!

@Maria D , AOC seems to upset many on the right.

@Dancing Fire, Trump does something embarrassing daily. I guess you missed the clips yesterday where he said his father was born in Germany. His father was born in NY and his birth certificate is available to prove this.

@soxfan, I too struggle to understand why anyone who has children would stand behind this president. Have you ever read Shower Cap’s Blog? He says he is Chronicling the insanity of the Trump era because future generations are going to think we made all this s#it up. He is very crude but after a crazy Trump week he provides comic relief. Some of his many nicknames for Trump are hysterical.

@AGBF, How about we get you a string of fake pearls? The risk of destroying a string of real pearls is pretty high while Trump is president.
 
Today I got an email from a friend from elementary school who is an avid trumpster. she and I had it going back and forth for months on facebook way back in the Obama day. she asked me to sign a petition and to let my congressman know how much I dislike Betsy DeVos and her cut in funding for Special Olympics, so being the NYer I was and am I said to her "Nope you voted for him, you support him you live with it". :) felt good. I know that's not nice and sometimes not being nice is all you have.

I knew you would like him Soxfan. I found his blog after the child separation stories were first being reported. I loved what he had to say about Trump, Nielsen and Sessions.

@Dancing Fire , Just wondering if the koolaid is grape or orange flavored. After Trumps discussion yesterday, I’m guessing ORIGINS.

It’s a little hard to feel bad for people who have no empathy or compassion for others and only seem to care about how something directly affects their life. When your attitude toward anyone who is suffering is pull yourself up by your boot straps, don’t be too shocked when those around you show you the same concern.

I completely understand where you are coming from @Tekate.
 
Why? I'm a good person but the hammering I took from her and another woman, they called me horrid names Red (baby killer for one) I could have said you deserve it Susan but I didn't.. I try to rise above it as my mother says, but sometimes a good smack in the mouth never hurt anyone (both sayings by my mother).. I feel no guilt. :)

This woman sees Muslims and sharia at every turn,out to kill us, when in fact the worst fear out there is a white male with a gun. I should have unfriended her but there is always that memory of us in 4th grade laughing and so I have her closed my wall unless it's a public post, but she sent this to me in a messenger, don't ask me to help YOU when YOU voted for him, send that to all the idiots who voted for him. Me? I find is very said that DeVos cut the Special Olympics and her cheeto head boss gave people rich as her millions in tax cuts, but as my mother always said also "Catherine, that's the way the cookie crumbles" (she was so awesome with these sayings that cut either good or bad depending on booze levels ;-) ) so thank you Callie and I appreciate your words, let it be known, I would NEVER cut one social budget but I have in mind several ways to raise taxes on the uber rich.

@Tekate I have a brother-in-law who's also Islamophobic and I try to spend as little time with him as possible. The sad part is that his sons parrot his fear & paranoia. I hope that when they go to college, meet new people, and have great experiences away from him, they'll learn to think for themselves and see their father's bigotry for what it is.

Anyway, I completely understand why you shut this woman down. One of the things that frustrates me about people who defend Trump is that they hold him to the lowest of standards but demand better from everyone else. This woman had no right to expect you to take the high ground after calling you horrible names, but she sure acted entitled.

Ooh that is no good and you didn't mention it previously. Anyone of any stripe who says those kinds of things are not people I would want to associate with and I don't blame you. Why is she still on your FB? I dump people like that with a quickness. There is no place in my life for nasty.

DF, you should look up the oranges :D of the 22nd Amendment. While it did indeed pass after Roosevelt also passed, the legislative process for it was started 3 years before his death - so that he could not be reelected.

DF, I teach math. I don't discuss or teach politics with my students. We learn and apply math to solve problems.

If the allegations against her are as reported, that teacher is going to be fired. Deservedly so.
