Hi all, I have narrowed down to the 2 diamonds below which falls within my budget and has same numbers (table, depth, CA, PA) as the one I saw in my local store and found it pleasing.

For the same money, which would be the best buy?

Should I max out in terms of carat size and go with #1 ideal cut or lose 0.04ct and go for a signature cut?

Visually would #1 and #2 be significantly different?

Diamond #1 - Ideal (Blue Nile)
Diameter - 5.45mm x 5.45mm
Carat 0.61ct
Color - G
Clarity - VS2
Table % - 56
Depth % - 62.1
CA - 35.5
PA - 40.8

Diamond #2 - Signature Ideal (Blue Nile)
Diameter - 5.35mm x 5.38mm
Carat 0.57ct
Color - G
Clarity - VS2
Table % - 56
Depth % - 61.9
CA - 35
PA - 40.8

No way will you be able to tell the difference in size, which leaves cut quality, so in particular regard to these stones I would go for the signature stone.

I'm not sure in diamond #1 if the crown and pavilion angle compliment one another. Pavilion at 40.6 or below might be better but I'm not sure.

You probably won't see the size difference nor any difference in patterning at this size. However I'd still opt for #2 based on CA and PA being more complimentary IMO.

Thanks guys for the advice.

I have a 3rd option which is almost similar to diamond #2 signature blue with exception of depth being at 62.1 opposed to the blue nile signature at 61.9. How does #2 and #3 compare now? Thanks again!

Diamond #3 - GIA Excellent (Local)
Diameter - 5.35mm x 5.35mm
Carat 0.58ct
Color - G
Clarity - VS2
Table % - 56
Depth % - 62.1
CA - 35
PA - 40.8

Probably not.. :)) I think it'll take .20mm to see the difference in size.
