I was wondering if someone could look at these stats on this stone and tell me what you think....The online source whats roughly $3500 for the stone and it is GIA cert. Thanks

I don't know how to judge cut for emerald cuts, but have you looked at Dave Atlas' charts? Go to www.gemappraisers.com to see the AGA definition of cut for EC's. I think there is even a tool to view how the shape will look.

I do know that color and inclusions show more in ECs than rounds, so I would look into the inclusions of this carefully since it is an SI2. Find out where, what type, and what color they are, and ask for magnified pics so that you can see them yourself. (I love the E color, so no worries there.)

Maybe someone like Hest will chime in -- I believe that she knows about ECs.

Also, you can check out how your price compares by using the Pricescope search engine and plugging in your stats. It will show you what other similar stones are listed for.
