Dear all, I need your advice. I am looking for a solitaire for a pendant. My jeweler finally found one that was in the range that I wanted. Could you please let me know your opinion. Thank you in advance

I wish the video looped a couple times. I can’t quite see the full face up view. Otherwise the numbers and images look good to my eye.

Ditto - never get to see the diamond completely face up but other images look good.

How are you going to set the diamond for the pendant?

Thank you for the reply. I will ask them to send me a new video with a couple of loops.

Thank you. Still thinking about the settings. 4 prongs martini sterling’s may be. Any suggestions?

I too would consider a full bezel sliding pendant.

Full bezel will make the pendant look smaller correct? Could you please explain why you prefer sliding? I still don’t know what’s best for me

Beautiful! I have a sliding bezel as this setting tend to ride up my neck.

I always thought full bezel would make the diamond look smaller. That’s why I wanted a 4 print settings. Please post a picture of your pendant. Thank you :)

Just personal preference but a pendant is not seen as close up as a ring. So for the most wow factor for the money, I would go down to SI1 on the clarity and to H or I on the color in exchange for a larger stone.

thank you for the advice. I have thought about this so many times.Go down in color to increase the size of the stone for the same money. But I am worried if I do that I gonna regret later that I don’t have a F. All my diamond jewelry are E-F. So I wanted to keep the color range just for mental satisfaction:lol-2:

No, putting a bezel around the stone generally makes the pendant look larger overall in terms of diameter. A sliding bezel slides through two holes on either side of the bezel. The chain may slide around and the clasp come to the front but the fixed pendants where there are two loops on the pendant sometimes causes the whole thing to travel up and around the neck. Personally I would rather deal with moving the clasp around a couple of times a day rather than have the whole pendant moving on the neck. You just need to make sure that the pendant is made and balanced in such a way as to not have it flip but rather lay flat on your skin. Hope this makes sense!

Full bezel makes the diamond appear larger in my case. My diamond is 0.3 ct I VS1.

The sliding feature will allow the diamond to be the center no matter how your chain is twisted.

I love it! The mounting does not move nor flip. I was so concerned about it but it is designed so well as far as being weighted properly and I haven’t had a problem with it moving not flipping. It just stays in place.

Thank you! I will get you one ASAP when I get home later. However I do think they may show the backside on the BGD website. It is the 3 prong martini, not the other martini names amongst their styles.
And yes, it is not flat which is why it is like so ergonomically designed to make it such that it doesn’t flip. I got mine in white gold, and it was not very expensive at all. I don’t know if they will make it for diamonds not from them but you can inquire.
Just looked it up on their site:
Martini 18K White Gold, item #5421W18, $375. Link for photo showing backside

I have a 6 claw basket setting with bunny ears. Mine is 1.057ct and only moves around overnight!

Thank you for the picture, appreciate it. Now I need to decide which settings. Looks like everyone who has commented on this thread are recommending sliding pendant. So that’s a check for me, no fixed pendant

593476 1 carat I color set in a platinum double bezel, fixed pendant. The weight of the pendant helps it to stay put and not slide around.
