Advice on GIA# 2186927650

Price is really good for the specs.

Check to see if the fluorescence makes the diamond appear cloudy/hazy.
And request for ASET & Ideal Scope images.

Re colour: it's tricky. A well cut J faces up white but can be too "yellow" esp. from the sides for some people. Is your GF really colour sensitive?
Price is really good though. So you may want to check the return policy. Look at it in different lighting conditions to see if you can still tolerate the colour and return it if you can't live with it. Or complement it with a setting that covers the sides/pavilion of the diamond.

Good luck!

Do you think moving up to an I color would make a difference? I also heard that having a medium florescence will help the diamond a little brighter in the sun in some circumstances? What is your opinion? Thanks again for the help navigating through this. Insane process!!

Hi,

Moving up to I will help.
The question is whether you'd be able to get it at a good price (1 colour up is usually 10-15%).

Below is the link on fluorescence:

(never known abt misgrading of colour due to fluor before this, wonder if this happens to AGS graded diamonds too)

I've heard about that benefit of fluor, but I don't have enough exp w/ diamonds w/ fluor to give useful info. Maybe more experienced posters/experts here can share some of their first hand experience?
