advice on cloudy looking diamonds

Hello everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I am looking to purchase a ring to propose and I have a pretty good understanding of the 4 C's. I have been looking for diamonds on jamesallen, and I have noticed when searching for diamonds in the Si1 range, some of the diamonds look cloudy (from the pictures), and some of them are very clear. What is the reason behind this?

Those are most likely the inclusions. Some are deemed eye clean and others are not pending on the location and type of inclusion. If you can post links of specific diamonds then we can tell you why some are cloudy while others are not.
