What do you think of this ASET? Is it bad that the Green is In the middle, as opposed to Red? I have read that ideally it should be Red or at least evenly dispersed if Green or Blue is present. As you can see, there is an extra band on the right side. Any input, is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

I think it’s on a slight tilt. Overall, nice!!

Hi! Thanks so much do you mean it’s literally crooked? The diamond? So sorry I’m not fully understanding. Thank you again!

Ps. Would you say “could do better”
Or DEf a good one? I rarely seem to come across decent ones w the size, clarity etc I am looking for. Within my budget Ofcourse.

What is your budget? ;)

And your required/desired colour/clarity/carat size?

I think that ASET is promising - a good mix of colours (therefore areas gathering light from different directions) but a video will make assessment easier. An ASET is only one angle, but to me, stepcuts are all about the way in which they 'work' (or not!) :)

Not at all...I think the diamond is slightly tilted, causing you to see more green than red in the center, unevenly. If it were not on a tilted angle, I believe you’d see more consistent Red across the center, with some green.
I don’t see anything “wrong” with this ASET; there is a lot of brightness & contrast, which is what you want in an EC. Very little to no evidence of leakage or dead steps, in that static photo. I agree with @OoohShiny; a video to see how the diamond performs, while in motion, would be very helpful. Video & ASET, together, really help to evaluate a step cut diamond.
I would definitely consider this diamond, just based on the ASET. Video would help me to seal the deal & pull the trigger.
What are the details of the EC?
Ct? Cut (VG/EX)? Color? Clarity?

. Thank you so much. I appreciate it!! My price is under $40k and looking for over 3.20ct. I am fine with the lower colors.... if a fantastic cut, as I have noticed that they tend to appear much whiter if the cut is stellar. I personally love to see the bands (which allows the actual steps to be seen) versus one big bright one). Does that make sense. I apologize for not being too specific with particular stone, as I have done that before and then tit was sold. I’m super picky at this point and I have only found 4 stones I’d consider in the past 5 years . I’m open to suggestions. Thank you again. I really appreciate all the help I can get.

. Thank you! I saw a video and it’s quiye bright and yes - you are correct. The video was tilted. Good eye!!!

I think it looks quite good. Is it turning on/off all the way into the center?

You should place this stone on hold with the vendor to secure it.
Are you able to have it shipped to you for “up close & personal” naked eye inspection to examine it in different light environments to REALLY see it perform in the settings in which you will frequent in every day life? If so, please try to do that, as long as the vendor has a reasonable return window, should you decide not to keep it (all though, I can’t imagine you being disappointed, outside of color sensitivity). ;)2
