Looking for advice! I picked out an eye clean 1.41 carat but am wondering if there will be any difference with a 1.5 and if its worth getting a 1.5 due to price increase of if i should stay with the 1.4. Specs are

It's a 1.41ct E VVS2 triple excellent cut (ideal) 7.17x7.20x4.44mm

Well, there is a ten point difference in size. Depending on the other specs of the diamond, it could look a bit larger though won’t be a huge difference. It is your preference and depends on your budget. Generally speaking, when you hit various size points like 1.5, 2.0 etc. you will also incur a price bump. Just do what you are comfortable with and hopefully you are buying from a vendor with a great upgrade policy (not two times the purchase price) in case you ever want to trade up in size.

Also, we can't tell if it's a well cut stone without more info

A well-cut 1.5 would be about 7.4ish mm so there would be a visible difference. We don't know what you paid for the 1.4 so dont
know how much more a 1.5 would cost. In general, it makes sense to stay just below a point with a major cost jump ( like 1, 1.5 2 ct)
but we just don't have enough details in your case.

mined or lab?

If it is a lab stone, there is a lab diamond sub forum on PS. Might want to post your question there where folks are more well versed in pricing, etc. for lab stones.

I've asked the mods to move the thread to the LGD forum.

Milkyway103, which lab graded it, and what is the report number?

This 1.56 E VVS2 is on sale for $1080.

Here's a GIA D color for $1082.

And a much bigger D VVS2 for $1125.

My advice is to consider buying as much carat weight and diameter as your money can buy...that's the beauty of LGD: you can (and should) get the most diamond for your hard earned money.

Our budget was 4000 but about 2800 for the diamond. Wosh i wouldve looked on ritani first but i live in canada so usd to cad conversion still sucks lol i went with a canadian independant retailer

I converted C$2800 to USD, and for your budget I'd get one of these.

Can you return yours?

From our chat on Reddit, I still feel that this is going to be a nice fiery diamond with this combo. You should still try and get an ASET scope image.
