My WF 0.70 ACA VS2 arrived this afternoon and it is totally gorgeous. I usually buy in the VVS range, so I don't have any experience with inclusions that can be seen with a loupe. This stone has a minute crystal in the middle of the table that looks like a tiny piece of white lint [it appears to be fairly near the surface] when viewed under 10x. It also has a tiny needle near the crystal. So from the side the crystal and needle reflect as a collection of tiny black spots. Otherwise this is probably the most beautiful diamond I've ever seen. Does this inclusion sound acceptable? or would I be better off with another ACA where the inclusions are off to the side?

edited for additional info

Do you have a link to the diamond that you can post?

Wow, you picked a beauty! Since you can't see the inclusions without a loupe, you've got nothing to worry about WF doesn't allow stones with detracting inclusions in the ACA brand.

nice stone!.. ;))

No there is no reason to switch it out. It's a gorgeous choice.

In that case I will take a bow. :appl: I picked it out all by myself
... of course it took a couple of months on Pricescope listening to what you guys had to say!

Beautiful stone - congrats!! How are you going to set it?

Thanks! It has that little bit extra "something special" that I've been looking for. I'm sold on ACA - and other comparably cut diamonds.
As for setting, I don't know...I had it set in the least expensive WF 4-prong setting so I could start wearing it right away, but I want more of a right-hand-ring. I wish WF had something suitable--- everything I saw looked like an engagement ring. [WF is so easy to work with and the time from ordering to getting was just a few days - I was impressed].
I like floral/vine designs. It'll be fun to research.

Look at a setting they have called Lilly. IMHO it doesn't look like an e-ring, but it's really pretty.

Thanks for pointing out that setting - it's pretty! and elegant.
I'm not getting any work done, instead I'm sitting in a sunny window looking & looking... I'm blown away by this stone & it's really making me smile. Whoever said $$ can't buy happiness probably wasn't a PSer. :D

Ditto! I am totally captivated by my ACA too and now have a bad habit of constantly looking at my ring anytime I could, especially walking around work and the house :D . Before having the ering I was not into jewelry now I find a whole new source of happiness from looking at my rock. $$ indeed can buy happiness  . Not sure if my DH is happy or sick of hearing me saying so many times how much I am in love with my ACA :)

Edit to add: it was a beautiful pic of your diamond!

Daisyoz, I checked out the photo of your diamond on Valentine's Day - it looks amazing! =)
Do you have any more photos to share?

Thanks Jimmianne :wavey: ! I have posted quite a few photos in the past. I have a few photos here from my iPhone. First one was taken in the car while it was rainy and gloomy outside but the diamond was still giving out flashes of colors. It just looks amazing in all lighting conditions  . I bet so does yours!

WOW again! Thanks for posting more photos. That is a fabulous diamond. I am not going to be able to look at the photos again or I will get shrinking diamond syndrome when I look at mine
but I am so happy that you have it so everyone can share the beauty.
