hi everyone,

I am new here and would love some advice.
For my bday present, DH said he will buy me another diamond ring.

I am looking into getting a princess cut, 2 carats or more.
I have been looking online and am a bit confused if clarity enhanced diamonds are ok/durable to buy. Please help me if you know much about it. If buying online is safe?

I own 2 brilliant cut diamond rings 2 carats so would like something different.

No, clarity enhanced diamonds can have many problems. I would suggest looking into an ideal cut princess stone. Here are a few examples of nice ones:

Most of us who have been here a long time came here at some point to research diamonds. I learned SO much and because of that I have really gotten some beautiful diamonds at a much better price than locally. I have bought from both of the vendors above and they carry diamonds of excellent quality.

I agree with DS. There can be issues with clarity enhanced stones and I believe the enhancements are not always permanent. I would look for an ideal cut stone in a size that fit my budget. There are a few posters here that have found eye clean I1 stones without durability risks, and more oftern SI2 stones. They often take time to find but it can be done. I'd also only consider vendors that can offer you actual photos of the diamond as well as ASET images. If size is your main criteria then I would consider dropping down in color and clarity without sacrificing cut which gives diamonds the amazing sparkle and life that they are known for!
