Called The Meteor Cut. 71 facets with 10 sided symmetry. It won't replace the round brilliant cut, but does offer one more alternative.

oh wow I really like it, reminds me of a snowflake!

I'm not an RB fan, but this is appealing!

I wonder what the IS/ASET looks like.

I agree! I don't like RBs, but I like this cut. You're right, petrock, it totally looks like a snowflake!

Could you put a pic of a RB and this cut next to each other for those of us who are not familiar with the differences? ::)

I like that! Who is going to sell it?

I think its pretty too...reminds me of some of the colored stone cuts.

I think it looks beautiful. I would love to know more!!! ;))

Another thumbs up! I wouldn't use it for an engagement ring but would definitely make a RHR with it! Where is it available?

wow! that's pretty sweet! i'm REALLY liking this new cut. i've never been a big fan of round brilliants BUT this is a cool alternative!

I like it! It also reminds me of some precision colored stone cuts.

Very nice!

Ooo, so pretty. I'd love one as a pendant.

I am not an RB fan but I love this cut!

Love it...so interesting. Very pretty!!!

Pretty cool! I like it! I think it might look a bit odd as a solitaire, but it'd look great in an interesting setting.

Setting it would be a pain, with all those pointed corners!

But I like it... IF the optics are good. No point of pretty facets unless you get the bang pow of light return in my book.

I was wondering if there is such a thing as a "five prong" setting, I bet it would look cool in that!
