A missed connection

I had my eye on something from a drop ship inventory vendor. I reached out to the vendor to request videos and the stone disappeared before they got back to me. The vendor just said that it’s no longer available. It’s still on my mind and I’m wondering if it’s still out there. I reverse image searched and searched the GIA and nothing. Obviously it most likely sold but any other suggestions for tracking it down? Can I reach out to a jeweler to see if it’s available to them by searching the GIA number? Would that be a rude thing to ask?

A lot of people would be happy to do a search for it to attempt to get a sale.
They may even find something similar.
If its something odd there is a vendor who posts on PS who is the king of odd stones and would do the search.
Being in the trade and having worked for him at one point I can not say more.
