We would indeed!

I think this is a quite realistic size and color comparison.

I live near Antwerp in Belgium,

Fascinating!

You know Stephan, being a man who loves diamonds too, I think we have to stick to together. There aren''t that many of us!!

I love your new diamond and I can''t wait to see your ring with it!!!

Gosh, your current ring is just perfection! Somebody will be lucky to get the old stone!

If you are happy, I'm happy. Congrats on your new stone!

Yes, I guess it won''t stay long in Brian''s safe...
You can see how white this "I" is next to the "J"!

Here is the new diamond in the old ring.
Sorry, I had to cut WF''s picture because it was more than 100KB.
I''ll post more about this wonderful shopping experience later.

Precisely. Congrats!

That is so beautiful and what I love about that setting is that it doesn''t in any way detract from your amazing diamond. Congratulations!

I too will eagerly await your review and comparison of the two stones... I''m really curious about how the larger table *looks* compared to the smaller, since you say you really like the larger tables. I think there is something really neat looking about the new stone... face up, the facets look chunkier which looks really cool!

Congrats!

Very interesting. I tend to like larger tables and longer lgf as well, as my small .54 stone has those. I can''t wait to see the comparison between these two stones on light performance after you play around with the new one!
Looks like a great stone, different from your other one, but great. Non-ideal can be beautiful as well.

Congrats on your new stone Queen Mum!!!!!

OK, this evening I have more time to write about my wonderful buying experience at Whiteflash. Brian took so much time for me, and he invited me to see the new office. It''s always a pleasure to visit him, and I hope it was not the last time. I also had the pleasure to meet Lesley, an incredible lady, and I had a lot of fun when going out for dinner with Tracy!
The day Brian showed me my new ring, it was magic. I used his loupe, and everything looked perfect. The diamond was perfectly set, my old platinum ring looked brand new.

How do the 2 diamond compares?

In comparison with the new line ACA I had before, the new diamond:
- looks bigger (of course, it''s 2.5ct)
- looks yellower (because of the J color AND because of the cut)

What is gorgeous in the new diamond?
- It''s bigger
- VVS clarity
- Scintillation
It sparkles very fast, I guess because it is a shallow/shallow combo.
- The slight bigger table produces some great mirror reflection, and combined with
the fast scintillation, it really makes the diamond look huge.
- Compared to the ACA, the fire spots are small, but when viewed from a big distance,
they also look big.
- In some lighting conditions, this diamond performs astonishing good,
especially when viewed from a distance.

What is bad with it (compared to the ACA)?
- The fire isn''t as vivid (not a lot of deep red and blue).
- The arrows don''t show a lot of color under direct lighting.
- The light return is slightly weaker.
- In some lighting conditions, this diamond performs poorly compared to the ACA,
especially when viewed at arm distance.
- As this diamond is a shallow/shallow combo, I think that longer star facets and/or
shorter lower girdle facets would perhaps be better, especially in matter of fire.
I may be wrong, but the upper girdle facets look VERY slightly digged (what should not
be that bad for a shallow diamond) but the lower girdles look VERY slightly painted
(perhaps not a good idea as LGF the angle is already shallow). As I said, I may be
wrong, and the digging-painting I saw is very very light.

What did my friends (about 10) notice?
- It''s bigger 10/10
- It''s yellower 3/10
- It has a lot of fire, but smaller spots and not that intense 2/10
- It sparkles faster 2/10
- It''s cleaner 1/10

What is my conclusion?
This is a diamond I like, even if it''s not perfect.
My sister hate it compared to the ACA, because the arrows are to small for her taste, and the diamond looks to yellow for her. I love the warmer J color, but I can agree for the arrows. I''m just so happy with the clarity, the color, the size and the scintillation. I would define it as a limpid diamond. I''ll surely miss the broad arrows full of fire of my former ACA.
But hey, I just love these trips to Houston, and it was probably not my last one.

I was sweating that much in Brian''s office, I just had to cut my face out of this picture.

You look happy!
I''d be happy too with a gorgeous new rock like that!

It''s beautiful and I love the simple elegance of the setting. Now you KNOW we need a whole slew of handshots -- right?

Very interesting comparison! I am glad you are so happy with your new pet rock though. And ummmmm, I''m w/ Dee*Jay. We clearly need MORE PICTURES to truly appreciate its beauty.

Thanks for the comparison of the two cuts, so interesting! It looks AWESOME on your hand.

Those are great pics, thanks for sharing them Stephan!

Also thanks for your very detailed and informative write up comparing the two diamonds, you did a great job, thank you!!!
