Holy Smokes Stephan what a gorgeous ring!!!! It is huge and sparkly!!! It looks wonderful on your hand too. You look so happy.

I loved seeing you Stephan. I don''t think I ever saw a picture of you before.

I bookmarked it for future consumers, you explained everything so I don''t even have to try! And needless to say, your ring is gorgeous.

I''m sure one of the experts will chime in on your lgf question, but my understanding of a stone cut to these proportions is, if you had shorter lgf''s, they would appear/make the stone appear darker in the face up position. I''m sure strm will be in to comment anyway, and may correct me if I''m wrong.

Congrats, and wear it in good health!

I just saw the new handshots, Stephan the new diamond is STUNNING!!!!!!!!!! Many congrats to you!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my goodness, huge and beautiful! i really do appreciate seeing different types of cuts. sure, ACAs are fabulous, but it sounds like you have a wonderful stone that exactly suits you. yay!

Thank you all for your nice comments!
The new diamond impresses a lot of friends, even if my close family prefers my former ACA.
I love them both.
I don't know when the next upgrade will happen, because what I love is quite unusual.
I love lower colors (J-Z), VVS clarity.
My preference is for shallow crowns and normal pavilions.
When the crown is only slightly shallow (for ex. 33.5 w/ 40.8 pavilion), I like long stars (60-65%) and long lower girdles (+/- 80%).
When the crown is very shallow (for ex. 32.1 w/ 41.2 pavilion), I also like long stars but then with short lower girdles (70-75%).
I probably sound crazy, but after +/- 100 times visiting Antwerp diamond sellers for myself and for friends, I know what makes my heart beat faster, even if I still push my friends to buy AGS 0 proportioned diamonds (because white color is important to them).
Lower colors like N-O are difficult to find w/ VVS clarity, and long star facets are even more rare, so waiting for a possible upgrade could last very very long.
Another option would be to recut my actual stone, but I don't know about weight loss and who would do exactly what I want.
What should I do? Do you have any opinion?

Thank you!

Stephen your ring and new diamond are FABULOUS!!!!!! I am SO jealous of your Whiteflash experience! I just made my first Whiteflash purchase a few months ago and I hope to get to go there IN PERSON when its time to upgrade!!!!

WOW, it is just incredible! Those handshots are fantastic, and in your "dust" photo--uh, I couldn''t see any dust because my eyes were bugging out of my head at how beautiful your ring is. Love it!

WHOA! Had to take a moment to pick my jaw up off the floor. What a magnificent ring and stone! The stone and design are just perfection on you.

It''s beautiful!!! I think Brian would be the obvious person to talk to regarding recutting. I''d be interested to hear his opinion on that. But it looks great as is!
