I finally told DH that I want an eternity band for my 20th wedding anniversary which is in 2019. He is so clueless w what diamonds cost, when I start sharing prices, he may tell me to wait until 25 years. So, I am thinking of a band like this to hold me over.

Definitely start sharing prices so that he can get over the sticker shock in enough time! He may surprise you and actually enjoy the hunt. :)

It would be a pleasant surprise but I am not going to hold my breath!

@Staceyjan - You could always take your hubby to Tiffany’s first to get an idea of what you like. After seeing their prices for an eternity ring, your hubby will be relieved at the prices of PS vendors

I actually LOL-Ed!!! So true! Any other vendor will look like a bargain after Tiffany’s. That is a great idea!

@Staceyjan DH and I started our engagement ring search there. You should have seen his face leaving Tiffany’s. I didn’t set him up- that was before either of us did any research.

I may be over thinking things now... But do the 8-pointers look ok? I’m wondering if they are a little too big with my thin solitaire. if you think I should get a smaller band, let me know what size diamonds you think would look best.

Here is my ER with the Tiffany embrace. (7 8-pointers)

@diamondseeker2006 I appreciate your taste and love your Vatche ER with the Legacy band. Do you think the 8-pointer stones are too big with my Vatche solitaire? Would 5-7 pointers be ideal?

I think 8 pointers are fine! I once had a Memoire seven stone band with 10 pointers, but I just decided I liked the look of the Legacy band. I have pictures with my old 1.5 ct stone with the .56 band (8 points) and the .27 bandi. I really like the .27 band (3 points), too!

I guess I kind of like the diamond solitaire to stand out more and have a smaller diamond wedding band. But there's no right or wrong answer!

That is funny and probably hard to keep one’s composure.
I love that size and you will get used to it. I would not think the stones are too large for your ring. I don’t think band and ER size needs to match.

Did you narrow down the pointer size?

I asked IDJ for a quote for 8 pointers, nine stones and it was more reasonable than I thought. I then asked for ten pointers and was pleasantly surprised, too. I also compared the price of 14KT versus plat and it was about a $300 difference. So, I only decided that this will be my next project and going to go w plat since my ER is in plat.

I am not one to answer this question about pointer size as I love the bling and think it looks amazing. But, I have been researching this topic and it seems that some opinions were that having larger stones swallows the ER. Therefore, I have decided that I am not going to pursue a band w twenty pointers to wear w my ER.

@Staceyjan - Yes, I decided on an 11 stone platinum ring with 7 pointers. I will take a picture when my band comes in.

I am so excited for you!!! I cannot wait to see it! You def made the right choice w plat. The finger coverage w 11 stones will be perfect.

Thanks @Staceyjan! I cannot wait to see it either. Are you ordering a 10-pointer band? And, what does your ER look like?

When I changed me settings, I kept the original center stone and the other stones I had I used for the band. My ER is brilliant cut and sparkly and the band is not. I also bought another band at a pawn shop a few years ago. But, it is too similar and not loving it, either.

So, I want to make the right choice and select the band that will compliment my ER the best.

I was playing w a CZ thin eternity that I had and like the way it looks, too. What do you think? Maybe I will wait until I see yours to decide?!?

I like the thin CZ band. But it sounds like you would prefer something more blingy. Have you tried on bigger stones? Try on as many bands as you can before making a decision. There is no substitute for trying a band on, on your hand and with your ER.

Yes, this is my dilemma! I did not try to bigger stones w my ER lately. I thought I wanted bigger stones but think I want a thin matching type band and then maybe a stacking ring that has different shapes, too.

Maybe the larger eternity should be saved for the other hand.

I will start trying before I jump into this.

Thank you!

What ring size are you?
I'm trying to decide between a 11 stone or 9 stone band made with 7 pointers.

I have a larger size hand and my size is 7.5but I could go to an 8. I went with the thin eternity band that matches my ER, for now.

I am a total lurker but came out of the shadows to say we just bought the Tiffany Embrace band (.57 TW) and I am flipping out over how much I love it. I was going to go with a Whiteflash band, but I have to admit that I am a sucker for the Tiffany name and, once I tried it on, I couldn't imagine not having it. :kiss2: It sits so nice and low on the hand, and, while the melee is not quite WF or BGD quality, it still sparkles like mad and the platinum is hefty. Not much caret weight, but still a presence on the hand. If you tried it on and love it, go for it. You really can't go wrong with that choice.

DE291D59-512F-42AE-9FD9-4585D794BBB2.jpeg Here it is! The “problem” I have is that my ring is an an “I” and i thought it was white until I started wearing this band, which is made of a higher color melee. Now I see the yellow tint, so an upgrade is definitely necessary:lol:

I second "platinum" . . . can't wait to see what you choose and the ring completed!
