8.01 ct O VS1 CBI up for grabs!!

So I don't want to be a downer but, honestly, who needs an 8ct. diamond? Especially in a round? I think with rounds there gets to a point when they are just too large. Also, in an O color? To me that screams you only went for size so much so that you compromised on color in a big way Like, how about go for a 5 carat and get an H (as example)?... I'm just trying to make a point. If I didn't know any better I would've thought this was a spoof! Again, apologies if I'm being negative....

No one needs an 8ct, but odd someone can afford it then im happy for them. Also, remember that for some of us color isn't a compromise. It's what we're actively looking for. I'd prefer an O to an H.

You know what, @lovedogs, I have to agree with you!.. I would rather have an O than an H!!! I was recently looking at a radiant that was somewhere in that range that I LOOOOVED (but had to put on the back burner because of the outlay of $ for my BGD recuts and branding and mountings + I'm hoping for 2 ctw studs in E color by end of 2020 but given economic fall-out from Corona Virus that may go into the 2021 goals lol!).

No one NEEDS a half carat diamond. As to color, what's wrong with going for a lower color to get a bigger stone?!? This is a legit HUGE *CBI* diamond coming up for sale. Why would it be a spoof, pray tell? To each his/her own. I posted it for fun, that is all.

@Starfacet This was not an affront to you, I apologize if my reply came across that way. I do see the fun in your post! I'm sorry if I offended :-(

Hey, now!* I have an M OMC, and an O and a P AVC, and all three are just golden-delicious! They face up a warmer white. I also have an E and an F (both MRBs -- one CBI and one Brian Gavin Blue), and they're icy-cool delightful. I love them all, and I can't imagine that 8-carat O CBI would be anything less than breathtaking. =)2

* Said kindly, which I hope is how it comes across!

Feel free to add photos of your rings here, so we can get inspiration for how to set this honker!! :D

We have had a few people looking for a 7+ carat round.

Wink’s P color is completely amazing, so personally I think this O is going to be gorgeous.

OMG, maybe Wink will have it by the time we have the get together!

I am not sure this Instagram opens right, if it does, on the last frame there is this crazy necklace with a row of large light yellow rounds - www Tefaf!

Ok, ok... you’ve all convinced me :)

I would surgically implant it in my forehead and make it my third eye. Then I would charge admission as an oracle. It's my retirement plan.

* Sorry, sorry, I can't help it, I always go to the absurd! It's just my way:twirl:
