7 stone concern

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had a hard time getting used to a 7 stone. I am a size 6 and my 7 stone is a 1.40 carat. I totally love it, but i don't know if the finger coverage is worth the mild discomfort. I am thinking of making it a 5 stone and using the extra stones for a pair of earrings for my daughter, but my husband insists it is just a matter of getting used to. If anyone has any input, I would appreciate it.

A lot depends on the setting of the stones, not the size of them or the number. I've tried on large 7 stones that have been really uncomfortable. Even 5 stones that have been terrible. And other's that have been really awesome.

Can you post pictures (especially profile shots) of the ring?

I can't post pictures now. But I should add that when i wear it as a rhr on my middle finger, it feels fine. Lately I just want to wear it with my e-ring.

Just be sure you use a spacer ring if you wear it with your e-ring. It may ruin your e-ring setting if you don't.

Good! I think how low the stones are set in the band is usually the main comfort factor. Memoire is an example of a brand that sets the stones really low and you really don't feel the stones because they are about the height of the rest of the band.

From the pained voice of experience.. sometimes it's all about the setting!!!

I had a beautiful five stone made with diamonds in the gallery.. when I posted the CAD DS tried to tell me it was too high... but it was so pretty I hated it.. everytime it rotated between my finger or someone shook my hand it brought me to my knees... so I sent the setting back and had it changed to a very low setting it fabulous now.. it's a 1.7ct.
