I am looking at these stones and comparing ASET and Iscope images and the tightness of cut etc.. Which one would you go for? I am concerned that the light difference in the ASET and Iscope images might be leading to a biased decision. Could you take a look and share your views on the diamonds with me? Many thanks!

0.9ct D VS1(best color but the most expensive)

1.005ct F SI1 (concerned about the twinning wisp inclusion )

1.01ct I VS2 (I guess this has the best ASET and Iscope image but the color is I....)

and finally this little guy. It is smaller but looks very nice to me :
0.8ct G VS1

I personally am not loving the tradoffs between size and clarity and color of some -- I would personally prefer over 1ct and VS2 for mind clean, G color is a sweet spot. Any are good choices, you are picking from tops cuts so don't worry about that.

I think if it is eye clean I would lean to the F SI1

But I sort of like this one better:

This is a nice one too, not an H&A, but will still looks great:

Or this if eye clean:

I would go with the F SI1...verify with the vendor that it is eye-clean. Like DD said, I would drop down to G/H before
I went smaller (or very high clarity).

I also like the first one that DD pointed out. They are all nice stones so if eye clean I would probably go with one of the
less expensive ones over 1 carat.

Agree with the above. Twining wisps are often great inclusions because they are very hard to see with the eye. I also like G-H at the one carat range. H VS2 can be a good value. But some SI1's are a great value!

I completely agree with DD. I would go for the F SI1. SI1 can be a great value if you are getting eyeclean. The cut for all of them is excellent, so it really comes down to color, clarity and carat. I would stick to 1 ct or bigger. G-H-I can be great colors and less expensive than the "colorless" grades.

For the ones you listed the F SI1 for sure.

follow up: I have a D and I LOVE IT! BUT... if it meant going under 1 ct or a significant size difference, I would go to F-G-H-I

I would go with the F Si as long as it is eye clean.

decision?

I love the 1.006 G-VS2, than the D and the I.
I think the D is a great deal, because you have a VS2 clarity, the D color and you don't have to pay the 1ct premium like the others (1.00x, ...)

I went with the .92 D color. At the local jewelry stores I put it to test. In live setting, I could tell the size difference between a .9 and 1ct (but it was very close), and only when they are side by side.

On the other hand color turned out to be a completely different issue. Holding the stones at a 45% angle at about 10 inches, without using any white background or comparing them side by side, I could easily see the color differences between I , H, G and F. In fact, I asked the salesperson not to tell me the colors in advance to see if I could rank them and voila, I correctly identified all. I guess I have good eyes.

Unfortunately the highest they had in the store was an F... they didn't have a D in stock, but I thought what the hey, I like where this is going and if I'd be impressed in the same way I did going up from an I to F I know I would want that icy white D stone from WF :-)

I also picked a Vatche Sisley after debating between that and the Swan. I asked them to do a Swan shank and use the Sisley's 4 prong head but in the end I thought Sisley was fine as it is.
Whew...I have been shopping for over 6 months and it is over.

Were the diamonds you saw GIA graded?

I went to Helzberg and they showed me 3 GIA graded stones from I to G. The 4th one F color was graded by some other lab which I haven;t heard might be ABL or ABI something.

Great choice, congratulations!
