Hi there!

I’m interested in this garnet, but $450 for a 4 carat anything seems too good to be true. It’s apparently IGI certified. Additionally, this seller only sells via Instagram, so I’m extra skeptical. Would you go for it?

I'd expect that garnet to be very dark in real life and such garnets are not very expensive so I don't think it's a crazy low price. If that's the type of garnet you want, you could also find something like it from a more well known vendor.

Here's a 4.22 dark garnet from Finewater Gems for $295. He's well known around here.

OP, so I guess you see from the much better cut comparisons that the stone you posted is actually over priced, imo.
